Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda In Rishikesh, India

Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda At Patanjali International Yoga Foundation in Rishikesh, we offer a focused, deep and healing course in Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda — blending two ancient sciences into one life-changing experience. This isn’t just a course; it’s a journey into the core of yogic healing, rooted in time-tested practices from the Himalayan lineage.

Yoga Therapy focuses on how yoga can directly help with common physical and mental health issues — like lower back pain, obesity, diabetes, and stress. Ayurveda brings understanding of your doshas (body constitutions), diet, and herbs for balance. Together, they offer a complete system of self-healing, detoxification and restoration.

You'll study, practice and live the wisdom of India in its most authentic environment — by the holy river Ganga, under the Himalayan sky

“In Ayurveda, food is medicine. In yoga, your breath is the doctor.”

Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda-Training Overview

Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda Rishikesh: Aim and Objective

  • Our goal is simple — to help you heal, and to teach you how to guide others to heal.
  • This course helps you understand physical and psychological imbalances — and equips you with yogic + Ayurvedic methods to correct them.
  • We focus on real-world therapeutic applications of yoga: not just the theory, but how to teach or design a class that targets specific dysfunctions — like asthma, constipation, blood pressure, arthritis, menstrual health, etc.
  • You’ll leave not only with tools for yourself, but the confidence to support others on their wellness path.

“Healing begins the moment you stop running from your own breath.”

Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda Rishikesh: Course prerequisites and requirements

To maintain the integrity of the course, we require that students:

  • Have completed a 200-Hour Yoga TTC
    OR
  • Have at least 2–3 years of regular yoga practice

This course is not for absolute beginners.

You don’t need to be an expert — just familiar with the basics of yoga and ready to go deeper.

We will send the specific prerequisites and study materials after the course registration.

Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda Rishikesh: Number of Students

  • We accept a maximum of 10 students per course.
  • This ensures an intimate and supportive environment.
  • Allows you to receive individual guidance.
  • Creates a safe space for sharing your personal healing journey.

The group is large enough for group dynamics, but small enough for true connection.

Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda Rishikesh: Language of Yoga Course

  • All sessions are conducted in English.
  • A medium-level understanding of English is required.
  • Necessary to follow the lectures, assignments, and instructions.

Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda Rishikesh: Graduation and Certification

What Makes Yoga in India Stand Apart from the West?

In India, Yoga is not seen as exercise — it is a complete spiritual lifestyle.
Here, yoga is not something you “do” for an hour — it’s how you wake, eat, speak, sleep, and think.

In the West, yoga is often reduced to flexibility and strength. In India, it is discipline, silence, food, rituals, prayer, breath, and surrender.

What makes Indian Yoga special:

  • Focus on inner purification, not external poses
  • Meditation, breathing, and mantra are core — not optional
  • Teaching from real scriptures like the Yoga Sutras, not Instagram
  • Connection to nature and silence
  • Guru–shishya (teacher–student) lineage is still alive
  • Temples, rivers, fire, and sacredness are part of the path
“In the West, yoga changes your posture. In India, it changes your perception.”
Every step to grow, live and enjoy at Patanjali International Yoga Foundation

We Follow

The 5000 Years Old Yoga Tradition of The Himalayan Masters

Our teachings are rooted in:

  • Maharishi Patanjali's Yoga Sutras
  • Hatha Yoga from texts like Gheranda Samhita & Hatha Pradipika
  • Himalayan Yoga-Vedantic lineage
  • Gurukula values: teacher–student respect, daily routine, simplicity

We don’t believe in shortcuts. We follow authenticity, dedication, and humility.

“The tradition is not in the book — it is in the breath of the one who lives it.”

Aadi Yogi Lord SHIVA

Aadi Yogi Lord SHIVA
