The truth is, anyone can talk about yoga. Social mediaâs full of itâendless tips, tricks, posture videos. Itâs easy to feel like youâre learning. But the real thing? The real yoga? That still happens the old wayâthrough presence. Through people. Face to face.
Thatâs why our teachers matter so much here.
They donât just demonstrate a pose or recite a script. They see the student. They sit with you, walk with you, hold silence when itâs needed. And sometimes, say just one small thing that opens something inside you.
Theyâve lived the practice. Not just read about it. Theyâve made their way through their own questions, their own edges. And thatâs what gives their teaching depthâitâs not borrowed. Itâs theirs.
Youâll notice itâhow they correct you without making you feel small. How they speak from somewhere honest, not rehearsed. How they donât pretend to have all the answers. But theyâre walking the path. And theyâll walk beside you, too.
Weâre proud of them, yes. But more than that, weâre grateful. Because the soul of this place isnât in the building or the schedule. Itâs in the people who show up with love, every morning. Who light the lamp, sweep the floors, and sit in stillness before anyone arrives.
This isnât about perfection. Itâs about presence.
And these teachersâthey carry that presence. Quietly. Humbly. Fully.

Dr. Jitendra Das is a seasoned yogi and scholar who has been sharing the wisdom of yoga with students across the globe since 2001. Based in Rishikeshâthe heart of yogic traditionâhe is the founder and guiding force behind Patanjali International Yoga Foundation (PIYF). His journey, however, began long before that.
Born and raised in India, Dr. Das has been immersed in yogic life from an early age. He pursued formal education in Yoga, Sanskrit, Ayurveda, and Vedic philosophy in Haridwar, a city often referred to as the "Gateway to Heaven" and one of the holiest cities in India. Haridwar is also home to the renowned Gurukul Kangri University, where Dr. Das completed his B.A. in Sanskrit and Vedic Literature, followed by an M.A. in Yoga and Scientific Researchâwhere he was awarded a Gold Medalâand later earned his Ph.D. on the subject âPatanjali Yoga and Ayurveda.â
Throughout his student life, he spent his school vacations traveling across India, learning directly from monks and teachers at various traditional Ashrams. These immersive experiences shaped his practical understanding of yoga beyond theory.
After years of learning, he felt a calling to give back. He chose Rishikeshâalready a magnet for yogic seekersâas the location to start his center. What began as a humble initiative gradually grew into PIYF, now a well-known yoga school registered with the Government of India and Yoga Alliance International.
Dr. Jitendra Das has taught in Australia, Fiji, Singapore, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Canada, the USA, England, Scotland, Wales, and nearly every major country in Europeâeven in dreamlike destinations like the Gran Canaria Islands. Wherever he travels, his teachings carry the energy and depth of authentic Indian yogic knowledge.
His expertise lies in teaching Ancient Hatha Yoga (based on the Patanjali system) and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga (Mysore style). But his approach isnât limited to asanas. Dr. Das guides students through the deeper layers of yogic scienceâPranayama, Bandhas, Mudras, Kriyas, Ayurveda, Mantra chanting, and Meditation.
He frequently conducts workshops, seminars, retreats, and international yoga festivals. His teachings blend practical techniques with scriptural insights from the Yoga Sutras, Gheranda Samhita, and other classical yogic texts.
âYoga is my life, my passion, my dharma and my everything. My life is dedicated to sharing this path. Letâs walk it together.â
Dr. Das refers to his style as âAncient Style Hatha Yogaâ, which honors the traditional teachings of Sage Patanjali without modern distortion. His mission is clearâto preserve and spread the timeless teachings of yoga in their purest form.
Areas of Expertise:
Dr. Jitendra is admired not only for his knowledge, but for the humility and sincerity with which he teaches. His classrooms, whether in Rishikesh or abroad, are full of energy, wisdom, and genuine care. Students say his presence alone is calmingâand his teachings are full of clarity and depth.
Even after more than two decades of teaching, Dr. Das remains a devoted student of yoga. He continues to explore ancient scriptures and modern science to bring the best of both worlds into the classroom.
If you're looking for a teacher who embodies the spiritual, scientific, and practical aspects of yoga, Dr. Jitendra Das offers all of thatâand much more. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced practitioner, his teachings can guide you toward a more conscious, balanced, and fulfilled way of living.

Tatiana Morozova has been teaching yoga for a bit over 15 years now and has been into its practice for more than two decades, maybe even a bit longer. Her journey into yoga started as just a personal thing, a curious explorationâand then it just slowly grew into something far bigger, a kind of lifelong mission she couldnât ignore. These days, sheâs not only one of the senior teachers at Patanjali International Yoga Foundation (PIYF), but sheâs also the official face of the school in Russia.
What really stands out in Tatianaâs teaching is how deeply sheâs dedicated to traditional Hatha Yoga. Thatâs the path she walks, breathes, teachesâand she sticks to it with a kind of sincere devotion you donât see every day. Unlike many who just learn postures from books or online stuff, Tatiana chose to go the traditional wayâlearning yoga directly from a guru, the way itâs meant to be passed down. She always says that true understanding comes from doing and experiencing itânot just hearing about it or memorizing.
She got her foundational training at Gurukul Kangri University in Haridwar, where she learned under the guidance of some of Indiaâs most respected yoga scholars. One of the people who shaped her path the most is Dr. Jitendra Das. His way of teaching, both deep and practical, really helped open up Tatianaâs insightânot just in techniques but in spiritual stuff too.
Right now sheâs based in Rishikesh, which kind of feels like the heartland of yoga, and sheâs very active at PIYF. Sheâs leading courses there and working closely with international students from all overâhundreds each year, if not more. Her teaching style is balanced and calm, with a nice mix of discipline, gentleness, and some quiet but deep inner work.
Tatiana shares knowledge across many areas, including:
One of her strongest areas is guiding meditations. She has this calm presence, and she sometimes brings in bits of subtle philosophy from different yoga systemsâwithout making it complicated. Many students say that her patience and clarity made their learning much more than just posture work.
But Tatiana isnât just a teacher on the matâsheâs deeply involved in other yogic educational projects too. Sheâs helped make asana posters, flashcards, and has even translated old yoga texts and written commentariesâso that Russian-speaking students can learn the ancient stuff without losing the heart of it. Her translations make things easier to grasp, but they still keep the essence alive.
Sheâs also a mentor to younger teachers, which says a lot about her character. Two of her students, Elena Lepeshko and Polina Goricheva, started under her wings and are now known teachers in their own spaces. That ripple effect of teaching says something powerful.
What truly makes Tatianaâs approach different is her humble way of being. She doesnât teach with ego or noiseâshe teaches with presence. She shows up with her whole self. Her students often say she listens without judging, observes things closely, and encourages people in this quiet but strong way that makes you feel seen.
âIt is my honor and pleasure to share this knowledge through teaching. Yoga is a path that we walk together, with awareness, humility, and love.â
Whether sheâs holding a class in Rishikesh or leading a course somewhere far away, Tatiana builds a space that feels realâtransformative but supportive. Her whole intention is to help people grow. Not just in the posesâbut in understanding their own energy, their life, and who they really are.

Acharya Mandeep Bhatt, well... heâs been teaching with heart and soul for over eight years nowâdedicated mostly to mantra yoga, meditation, Vedic rituals, and Sanskrit. Heâs not just any teacher at Patanjali International Yoga Foundation (PIYF), Rishikeshâheâs kind of like the heartbeat of the place. Born and brought up right in the spiritual belly of India, his connection with the Vedic life goes way back. As a kid, he was pretty much always around saints, smoky rituals, bells, and chants... so walking the yogic path just happened, naturally.
His way of teaching comes from a real place. Rooted deep in old Vedic traditions but also very much alive, thanks to his own practice and quiet discipline. Heâs not only well-read in the scripturesâhe can also feel them. A musician at heart too, he channels Bhakti Yoga through rhythm, voice, and fire. Literally.
At PIYF, hereâs what he teaches (and trust me, itâs more than just teaching):
And if you ever get the chance to be there during his evening kirtans or yajnasâyouâll know what I mean. His chantingâitâs not just soulful, it shifts something in you. Whether heâs on the tabla, harmonium, or the hang drum, he has this way of turning sound into something that reaches past your thoughtsâstraight into your bones.
Somehow, even in silence, he teaches. A mantra workshop with him feels like a journey; a silent meditation sessionâlike being held. Thereâs no big performance. Just presence. He doesnât teach from memory or manuals. He teaches from lived truth, from sadhana, from a place that feels⊠well, real.
âI meditate when I teach,â he often says. âTeaching is my meditation, and meditation is my teaching. Come, letâs sit and be still together.â
Heâs not trying to impress you. Heâs trying to reach you. Every class is a quiet invitationâto turn inward, to listen to that subtle sound inside, and to meet the stillness that lives beneath all the noise. He likes to remind his students that yoga isnât something you âdoââitâs more like something you start becoming when you stop chasing and start feeling.
And donât worryâif you donât know Sanskrit or havenât ever chanted before, heâll still make space for you. His vibe is soft, grounded, deeply spiritualâbut always approachable. Students say he meets them where they are. Gently. Firmly. Like a teacher should.
Many lovingly call him Mandeepji. He also offers special workshops on ritual therapyâcombining mantras, mudras, and deep inner intention to clear energetic weight. Honestly, students have cried, released, healed, transformedâright there in those sessions. Not because of magic. But because of presence.
He gets called often to spiritual festivals, kirtan gatherings, and yoga retreats across India. People seek him not for the performanceâbut for the truth he carries. For the way he brings you back home to yourself.
So, if youâve never touched a mantra before, or maybe youâre looking to deepen your journey into sound, fire, or silenceâstudying with Acharya Mandeep Bhatt might just be one of those rare, real chances to step into what yoga was always meant to be.

Ravneet Kaur has, for almost ten years now, been walking alongside sound and energy healing as not just practicesâbut as lifelines. Sheâs helped people from all sorts of backgroundsâlost, tired, curious, achingâto find stillness, or clarity, or just a moment of quiet that felt real again. At Patanjali International Yoga Foundation (PIYF) in Rishikesh, where sheâs one of the senior teachers, she brings together a soulful mix of Nada Yoga (sound yoga), Reiki, and quiet, contemplative wisdom into each of her sessions.
Her story didnât start in a classroom or with a certificate. It began, like many others, with searching. Not just for peaceâbut for something that didnât vanish the next morning. It was sound that called her. Not in a loud, dramatic way. Quietly, like a thread tugging her inward. Slowly, it became not just her practiceâbut her medicine.
Over the years, she has led countless sound meditations, group circles, and one-on-one healing sessions for people from all over the world. Since 2016, she's also been training othersâpassing on what sheâs learned, not just in technique, but in trust. Trust in vibration. Trust in silence. Trust in what we carry within.
She teaches and facilitates across yoga retreats and workshops in India and beyond, and her sessions are knownâoften whispered aboutâas being deeply grounding, quietly powerful, and⊠hard to explain in words. You feel them more than you understand them.
And as a Certified Reiki Master too, Ravneet adds another current into her healing work. Reiki, for her, is about remembering. Remembering the energy we already carry and letting it flow againâsoftly, but strong.
She was recognized at the 7th International Conference on Science and Spirituality, an event hosted by Vedic Bhumi Connect, where prominent leaders like Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank (former Education Minister of India) and Dr. Tony Nader (President, Maharishi International University) were present. Ravneet received the title of âBest Nada Yoga Faculty of the Year,â a moment she calls humblingâand surreal.
âThe most beautiful and effortless way to enter deep meditation is through sound.â
Her teaching doesnât feel scripted. It comes from somewhere elseâmaybe intuition, maybe just years of watching people soften. She doesnât believe healing needs to be loud or dramatic. In fact, she often says, the quietest moments are the most sacred ones. Thatâs the space she creates in her sessionsâa kind of sacred hush, where people finally exhale.
With Ravneet, youâll experience:
Sometimes, breathwork shows up. Sometimes, mudras. Sometimes⊠just silence. She doesnât force an experienceâshe lets it happen. And in that space, healing becomes not a goal but a return.
Students often describe her sessions as âdeeply moving,â âgentle yet strong,â or simply âlike coming home.â Some cry. Some laugh unexpectedly. Some say nothing at all. But nearly everyone walks away with something they didnât know they needed.
For Ravneet, itâs not really about teaching. Itâs about holding space. And when that space is safe, sacred, and stillâtransformation, however small or mighty, can begin.
Whether youâre brand new to sound healing or have been exploring it for years, sitting with Ravneet will leave you with more than methods or theory. Youâll leave with a quiet confidence in your own energy, your own rhythm⊠and your own remembering.

Yogi Mayank Goswami is a deeply passionate and quite intuitive yoga teacher who blends the traditional roots of yoga with modern-day anatomy and a heartfelt spiritual awareness. With over five years of honest, grounded teaching under his belt, Mayank has already carved out a place for himself in the yoga worldâguiding students from many corners of the globe toward safer, more aware, and deeply transformative practice.
His journey truly began back in 2019, when a strong inner pull led him to take yoga more seriously, more inwardly. He first enrolled for a Diploma in Yoga from the reputed Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, and soon after, he went on to finish a 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), certified by Yoga Alliance USA. And that wasnât the endâhe also completed a Masterâs Degree in Yoga from Uttarakhand University, giving him not just book knowledge but a broader understanding of both ancient yogic thought and scientific perspective.
At Patanjali International Yoga Foundation (PIYF), Mayank is known among students for his calm nature, clear teaching style, and his honest patience. Whether he's guiding someone new to yoga or supporting a more advanced teacher, his intention is always the same: to help each person connect more honestly and deeply with their own practiceâphysically, mentally, spiritually.
Mayank teaches and specializes in:
One of Mayankâs most helpful strengths is his solid grasp of body movement, joint behavior, and structural safety. He combines this with yogic philosophy in a way thatâs simple and meaningful. His approach helps students ease out of discomfort, understand alignment better, and practice in a way that suits their bodyâespecially if theyâre struggling with stiffness, old injuries, or constant tension.
âYoga isnât about how it looks. Itâs about how it feels. When the body moves with awareness, everything changes.â
His classes are both gentle and strong at once. He has a peaceful presence, gives clear but not overwhelming cues, and creates a space where students feel safe to explore. He encourages everyone to really listen to their own body, rather than forcing anything. Breath, grounding, subtletyâthese are his guiding lights in a class.
Heâs taught at many respected yoga schools across Delhi and Uttarakhand, offering trainings, workshops, and retreats. A number of students have told him that his classes gave them exactly what they didnât even know they were searching forâbe it physical lightness or some quiet space inside the mind.
At PIYF, he teaches modules like:
Mayank is particularly insightful when it comes to helping people release painâespecially pain that stems from postural issues, joint strain, or spinal imbalance, often caused by long sedentary hours or poor lifestyle habits. His sessions often include healing suggestions, practical guidance, and even Ayurvedic tips for long-term wellness.
âTeaching yoga is not just about sharing poses. Itâs about showing others how to trust their breath, their body, and their path.â
He continues to study, refine, and evolve in his own practiceâbelieving that a true teacher always remains a student too. He is appreciated for being warm, easy to talk to, and grounded in his values. For those wanting to improve their alignment, understand their physicality better, or simply feel more at peace in their own skin, Mayank provides a supportive and real space to explore it all.
He strongly believesâand lives this beliefâthat every single student, no matter their level or background, has the right to feel strong, steady, and whole in their yoga journey. And heâs right there, walking beside them, one breath at a time.

Sahil Chauhan is a dedicated and passionate yoga teacher whose journey into the world of yoga began in 2017 during his school days. Which started as a simple curiosity soon transformed into a lifelong commitment to the path of self-discovery, wellness, and holistic healing. Over the years, Sahil has cultivated deep knowledge and experience in traditional and therapeutic yoga practices, establishing himself as a well-rounded and compassionate teacher.
To further his understanding of yoga, Sahil pursued a Bachelorâs degree in Yoga Science from the prestigious Swami Rama Himalayan University. His academic years were marked by active participation in multiple yoga championships, where he demonstrated not only physical excellence but also mental discipline. Sahil is a national-level yogasana athlete, having competed in the Inter-University Yogasana Championship and winning a bronze medal in another national-level competition. During his university years, Sahil also undertook a six-month internship at the Himalayan Hospital in Jolly Grant. There, he gainedhands-on experience in yoga therapy, guiding patients with chronic ailments through individualized yoga sessions aimed at promoting healing and recovery. This exposure helped him understand the deep therapeutic potential of yoga, particularly when combined with pranayama and meditation techniques.
Rooted in the teachings of the Himalayan tradition, Sahil places a strong emphasis on the inner dimensions of yogaâespecially meditation and breathwork. He has been trained in the meditative practices passed down by the direct disciples of Swami Rama, focusing on the subtle aspects of the mind and the therapeutic power of stillness. His practice is further enriched by completing a Vipassana meditation course, which deepened his insight into mindfulness and mentalclarity.
Sahilâs knowledge extends across multiple yoga traditions. He has studied Iyengar Yoga under a renowned guru, developing a precise and alignment-focused approach that is both therapeutic and accessible to practitioners of all levels. Additionally, he has trained in the dynamic Ashtanga Vinyasa system with a Mysore-certified teacher in Rishikesh, enhancing his skills in sequencing, breath-synchronized movement, and physical discipline.
Beyond his asana expertise, Sahil has also completed a Sanskrit course from Sanskrit Bharati in Kashi, allowing him to connect deeply with original yogic texts and chants. This linguistic foundation supports his traditional approach to yoga and enriches his teachings with authenticity and scriptural relevance.
Sahilâs teaching style is thoughtful, therapeutic, and rooted in tradition. He skillfully integrates asana, pranayama, meditation, and philosophy to guide his students toward greater self-awareness, healing, and inner peace. His calm presence, dedication to yogic values, and personal experience across diverse traditions make him a respected and inspiring teacher for students on all levels of their journey.

Yoga Charya Ajay is not just a teacherâhe's someone who lives yoga. His journey began somewhere around 2010 (he doesnât really keep count), and from that point on, there was no turning back. Ever since, heâs been fully immersed in the old waysâthe roots of yogaâand has spent over a decade practicing, studying, and most importantly, sharing yoga, not only in India but across the world too.
At the Patanjali International Yoga Foundation (PIYF) in Rishikesh, folks know him for his vibrant energy, deep understanding of yogic science, and this very unique way of making even the simplest pose feel profound. His classes are full of detail, but they never feel too much. Somehow, he manages to help students dive into themselvesâbody, mind, and that space in between.
Ajayâs journey wasnât made overnight. Itâs the kind that slowly builds over time. He first soaked up traditional teachings here in Indiaâashrams, texts, daily sadhana. Then in 2012, he got invited to China to teach yoga. That trip changed him. It showed him how yoga speaks beyond language and culture. Itâs not just an Indian thingâitâs something that lives inside people everywhere. Something true.
Later, he moved to Vietnam and spent nearly six years teaching at California Fitness & Yoga, a leading wellness space there. Those years, he says, were transformativeânot just for his students but for him, too. He led workshops, taught masterclasses, worked with hundreds of students, and became kind of a known name in the yoga circles out there.
Ajay believes yoga isnât about twisting into a perfect shape. Itâs about finding yourself, wherever you are. He brings together the depth of traditional Hatha with the dynamic movement of Vinyasa and the intensity of Ashtanga. The result? A practice that feels grounded yet fluid, strong yet kind.
âYoga, for me, itâs not perfectionâitâs connection. If you can feel yourself more clearly in a pose, then youâre already there,â he says, often with a little half-smile.
At PIYF, youâll find Ajay leading classes like:
His teaching is intenseâbut in the best way. Heâs known for giving students just the right kind of push, while still creating room to explore and breathe. Alignment matters a lot to him. Heâll often pause class just to show how a minor tweak can shift everything. And he doesnât just adjust bodiesâhe adjusts energy. Itâs subtle, but people feel it.
What students love most, though, is how personal it all feels. His classes arenât one-size-fits-all. He watches, listens, adapts. He meets people where they areâemotionally, spiritually, and physically. Whether itâs a sweaty Ashtanga series or a quiet hour of breath and stillness, Ajay brings presence. He shows up fully, and people sense that.
His teaching aim, as he puts it, is nothing fancyâjust honest work:
Students often describe him with words like: calm, solid, warm, and someone who actually listens. Having taught in different cultures, Ajay brings a kind of global sensitivity that lets him connect with just about anyone. Itâs not forced. Itâs just who he is.
âFor me, teaching yogaâitâs not a job. Itâs something sacred I offer. I teach because I want people to feel more alive, more whole, more like themselves.â
Whether youâre stepping onto your mat for the very first time or have been practicing for years, learning from Ajay is more than just instructionâitâs an experience. He helps you trust not just the pose... but also the pause, the breath, the process.

Yoga Charya Sashank Gambhir is a devoted teacher and a quiet seekerâone of those who believes, with his whole heart, that "the cure, always, lies somewhere within." His lifeâs work hasnât really been about yoga poses or certificates... itâs been about healing. Quietly. Deeply. Honestly. From the inside, outward.
Sashank didnât really plan to be a yoga teacher. In fact, it all began with his own painâand an unexpected relief that yoga brought into his life when he was quite young. That moment of relief, of something shifting inside, left a mark. So he did what many donât. He left behind the âregularâ life path, you know, the one with promises of stability, and chose instead to follow that quiet tug inside.
His first serious step was to Mysoreâthe pulse of traditional Hatha Yoga in India. There, under the gentle but precise teachings of his guru, Pradeep Sitaramayya, he completed his 200-hour Teacher Training. But more than any certificate, what stayed with him was a new way of seeing. The way yoga holds silence, discipline, and compassion in the same breath.
Later, while teaching in Bangalore, something began to feel... off. The city buzz, the packed studios, the performance-driven yogaânone of it sat quite right with him. He missed the roots. The slow, earthy, therapeutic side of yoga that could hold a broken body, or a tired soul, gently. So he shifted again, and enrolled in a Postgraduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy.
During his internship at a yogic hospital, he worked hands-on with patientsâpeople carrying the weight of years of illness, pain, or imbalance. Here, yoga became something else entirely. Not just posture, but medicine. Movement with memory. Breath with intention.
His path eventually brought him to Rishikesh. And if youâve ever been there, youâll knowâitâs not just a place, itâs a kind of turning point. There, Sashank crossed paths with Dr. Jitendra Das, the founder of the Patanjali International Yoga Foundation (PIYF). Something clicked. Dr. Das saw in him not just dedication, but depth. And so, Sashank was welcomed into the PIYF family, where he now teaches students from all over the world with quiet sincerity.
At PIYF, he guides students through:
His classes? Theyâre slow, rooted, and healing in feel. He doesnât push. Doesnât correct harshly. He just observes quietly and guides with care. Whether you're in pain, stiff, anxious, or just new to your own bodyâSashank sees you. Really sees you. And that makes a difference.
His training in therapy gives him a rare giftâhe can modify classical asanas with care, so students with injuries or chronic conditions donât feel left out, or left behind.
âYoga is a science of healingânot just the body, but also the soul. Real shifts begin the moment you start listening to whatâs inside, quietly.â
Students say heâs gentle. Soft-spoken. But steady. He makes you feel safe. Grounded. As if youâve stepped into a space where nothing has to be proved. You just have to show up as you are.
Over the years, Sashank has worked with practitioners from all kinds of places and culturesâpeople looking not just for flexibility or strength, but something more enduring. Something they can carry back with them into real life.
âYou donât have to push to healâyou just have to be willing to meet yourself, honestly. Yoga therapy... itâs like a quiet revolution, one breath at a time.â
And so, from this quiet corner of Rishikesh, Sashank continues to offer what he knows best: the slow, patient, inner work of healing. His yoga isnât about speed or showâitâs about softening. About staying. About becoming just a little more whole with each inhale.

Dr. Sumit Sharma has got this really rare mix when it comes to yoga anatomyâhe makes it scientific and spiritual, clear without sounding robotic, and somehow still deeply personal. People say his teaching is not just useful, itâs like something they can feel in their own bones. Heâs been teaching for over ten years now, and at Patanjali International Yoga Foundation (PIYF), heâs honestly one of the most popular anatomy instructors around. Students often say things like âWhy didnât anyone teach it like this before?â
He was born somewhere close to the Himalayan foothills, in a town where natural remedies and Ayurveda were just part of everyday life. But instead of just sticking to what he grew up with, Dr. Sumit decided to walk a slightly different roadâbringing in medical science to meet traditional wisdom halfway. Itâs like he wanted to take what the East knows in its gut and what the West knows in its labs, and make them talk to each other.
Heâs got a Masterâs in Physical Therapy, and his focus is on Musculoskeletal Disordersâthatâs more orthopedic stuff. Plus, he earned a Diploma in Sports Medicine from West Bengal. Not just thatâheâs a certified Pilates instructor too, which adds a more fitness-meets-yoga kind of approach to his way of teaching and healing.
People say his classes donât feel like lecturesâthey feel like conversations. Heâs got this energetic, down-to-earth way of explaining even the most complex stuff. You might come in not knowing the name of a single muscle, and leave with a proper understanding of how your posture is throwing your whole body out of whack. Stuff like spine alignment or pain reliefâhe teaches it from both the yoga mat and the clinic floor.
âYoga anatomy isn't only about naming musclesâitâs about knowing your own body so you can live better, with more ease and less pain.â
At PIYF, youâll find Dr. Sumit teaching:
Heâs worked with over 500 real-life casesâpeople with joint pain, spine issues, weird postures from long desk jobs, all of that. Right now, heâs heading the department at Nirmal Ashram Hospital in Bali. And heâs also the Chief Physio for Shiva Cricket Academy, where he helps young athletes with things like flexibility, rehab, and how to not mess up their knees before they hit 30.
Till now, students from more than 35 countries have attended his classes. Many of them say it totally shifted the way they see the human body, and also how they teach or practice yoga going forward.
Heâs also conducted workshops on:
Honestly, though, what makes Dr. Sumit different isnât the certificates on his wallâitâs how deeply he cares that his students get it. He believes if a yogi really understands their own bodyânot just from books but from lived experienceâthey can move, teach, and live better. Itâs not just about preventing injuryâitâs about having more trust in your own physical intelligence.
âYoga anatomy is one of those hidden healing tools. When you finally get how your body works, you stop pushing against itâand start flowing with it. Letâs figure it out together.â
When heâs not teaching, heâs still learning. Reading, treating, practicing, refining. Heâs a teacher whoâs always a student too. And people notice that humility. Thereâs strength in his classes, yesâbut thereâs gentleness too. And when you train with him, you donât just leave with notes. You leave with a better feel of yourself.
So, if you're a yoga teacher, a serious practitioner, or even a therapist who wants to know whatâs really going on under the skinâDr. Sumit doesnât just give you information. He gives you something way better: understanding, self-trust, and a respect for your body that sticks.

Aadi Yogi Lord SHIVA
Shiva is The Highest Auspicious Energy of the Universe. He is the eternal one who gave birth to himself, he has no begining or end. He knows all. He is pure consciousness, the creator of time, all-powerful, all-knowing.
Sage Patanjali
Patanjali describes the third limb of yoga, which is the asana, as "Sthiram, Sukham Asanam" - Mean asana the position should be comfortable and stable, that is all the asana is about. Because "comfort" is such a misused word, maybe a closer word to "sukha" in English would be "ease."
Patanjali Systems
During our trainings we follow the techniques, which are described in Sanskrit sources and textbooks. Following GURUKUL training system with the central point of constant deep connection of the Master and students.
